Exhibits 2: Yang DiPertuan Agong of Malaysia

24-26 September 2007:

Today we put up exhibits showcasing the Malaysian Head of State - the Duli Yang Maha Mulia Yang DiPertuan Agong. We have a list of all the former rulers together with a short biodata about them which include the duration of their reign.

Exhibits 1: Hall of Fame - Prime Ministers of Malaysia

21-23 September 2007:

The exhibits focused on our very own Hall of Fame. The exhibits showed the backgrounds and achievements of our FIVE Prime Ministers from Tunku Abdul Rahman to Dato Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. Here are some of the exhibits to be put up at the Merdeka Walk…..

Teamwork is important.....

21 September 2007:

Today, we had a fun day processing the exhibits that are to be put up along the Merdeka Walk. It was fun because we had the opportunity to work together on such an exciting and interesting project.

There were some hiccups, as things are wont happen, but we were able to overcome them quite easily. When there are cooperation and teamwork, obstacles fade away into the background in the glare of the light of results at the end of the tunnel.

Great job, guys!

20 September 2007:

The team members are preparing the exhibits for the Merdeka Walk. They are meticulously processing the materials to be put up at the Merdeka Walk before the dateline. The members are very intent on their work to ensure that there are no defects to mar the exhibits. Great job, guys!

Ramadhan Al Mubarak…..Is here again!

13 September 2007:

We wish our team members happy Ramadhan. May this Ramadhan brings us joy, happiness and makes us close to Allah. The team members have to stay back to finish their works this fasting month. The tasks were carried out at Biology Laboratory from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm. Thank you guys for your cooperation!

Breaking "bad" news...... An Obstacle....

12 September 2007:

This is our first obstacle….. The technician of the school told us that all works at the proposed Merdeka Walk (at the Reading Corner) must be stopped immediately. The technician also told us to move the Merdeka Walk to another place. We didn’t agree with the technician’s idea at all because the Reading Corner is the best place for us to convey our Merdeka messages and the students passed this Reading Corner almost every hour. The reason given by the technician was that the warrant to upgrade the present Reading Corner has been approved by the Kementerian. The roof of the Reading Corner will be changed to a new one which is more comfortable and conducive for reading and learning.

We almost wanted to quit this community project and return all the money given by Maxis Cyberlinq. But the month of Ramadhan brings us lucky and happiness. The Headmistress, Puan Hajah Maedah instructed us to continue our project. The administration will upgrade the Reading Corner into fresh new look. The exhibits will be displayed at the new Reading Corner (to be named Merdeka Walk) before the dateline. Thanks once again Hajah Maedah for helping us….

The making of display boards.....

10 & 11 September 2007:

This is the first item that we made for the exhibits. The exhibits will be posted on the black display boards. The display boards looked very gorgeous with the gold and silver lining as its border. It took two days to finish this task. Thanks to all the team members who are very intent on their work.

The processes in the making of display boards are as follow:

a) The plastic board is cut into half (in landscape)

b) The gold/silver lining is attached to the boards as border

Shopping time.....

We went for shopping at Rainbow Art Stationery, Taman Universiti, Skudai. This shop is really cool! Every item that we bought has a special discount. We spent 3 hours there…. choosing…. bargaining….and buying. Here are the items that we bought for our exhibits:

The First Meeting.....

3 September 2007:

We were very happy that our project has been chosen. We conducted our first meeting on Monday 3rd of September 2007 at 3:00 pm right after school.

We discussed a lot of things such as:

a) The design of the Merdeka Walk

b) The exhibits to be put up at the Merdeka Walk

c) The cost needed

d) The delegation of works

Our headmistress Puan Hajah Maedah also encourages us to excel in this project. She also stressed that we must work hand in hand with the school administration to realize the dreams.
